Protest with Pennies
There was a good NYT article today about the organization Acorn, featuring their successful model of door-to-door organizing against poverty. One of their recent protests encourages people to pay their utility bills with pennies. It's exciting to see a group with such an organized strategy for working with and helping to mobilize low-income communities.
